Garden Party without the Party

Sometimes, ideas just don't translate to reality.  Such was the case with my image for Kim Klassen's "Garden Party" on Texture Tuesday. The white plastic "T" labels are really white...almost like a spotlight.  My limited knowledge prevented me from correcting that look in some way.  The photo was processed with two layers of Kim's Silence and one of Plaster 2.  Then I added a Lo-Fi application.

I think it turned out nice Evelyn. The photo itself has a really good texture and the textures you added accentuate that. As for your T labels, I would have no idea how to make adjustments to that either. What is a Lo-Fi application?

Great shot, love the use of texture. Time to garden now isn't it?

Good work. Learning always leads to opportunities. Love the blue and the peeling paint!

Really nice texture work here, and I love the frame you added. With time and practice you'll learn how to correct or even use the overexposed areas. I actually like overexposure in certain photos and when used to achieve a specific look. Just keep shooting and experimenting. :)

I too have problems with bright whites at times. It can be frustrating. I think the old weathered background is wonderful and I love the frame you added to it.

The peeling painted wood reminds me of an old garden shed - perfect with gardening tools. I like the darker frame too.
