Musing Upon Long Ago

In our rural area, there are several little--and very old --cemeteries.  One of them has only a few headstones scattered among some pine trees, including this marker for a young man.   I'm linking up with Nancy's Tuesday Muse.

I always ponder on the stories behind these tombstones. Especially when it's a baby or child. So sad.

Very nice piece. You gave this a nostalgic/vintage feel with the texture you used. Old cemeteries are quite interesting.

Surely glad I'm not the only one who loves to visit old cemeteries!

Old tombstones and old graveyards intrigue me. I always wonder who they were, what they did, how they lived ...
