Portrait of Kennedy

When I discovered "My Life Mixed With My Photography," I also discovered her portraits challenge....capturing faces.

My favorite human subject over the past two years has been Kennedy, my great-niece.  Earlier, I posted a black and white 'portrait,' and today I'm doing a soft color shot that's similar to the black and white one.  As is typical of many children nowadays, Kennedy has been photographed hundreds ---even thousands---of times in her short life.  This is one of my favorites:  she is sitting at my kitchen bar, waiting for a popsicle.

Because it was a 'capture' of a candid moment, the result was sidelight from the kitchen window.   To lessen the effect of the distracting items on the wall in the background, I cropped and  applied the soft focus feature in Picasa.
