A Simple Pleasure has begun to bloom

Dayle invites her readers to share "Simple Pleasures" in their lives; most are recorded as photographs.  The zygo cactus in our spare bathroom (really the only room where I can have plants with east light) has begun to bloom.  It's my newest "Christmas" cactus, and it's the healthiest.  The hot pink one is more temperamental and looks rather puny right now.   But this red one is vibrant and healthy, my first real success with one of these plants.

I have always wanted a green thumb, and the Christmas cactus is one of the reasons. I think they're lovely!!!

(And don't bother to encourage me that even I could grow it. I can't. It's really kind of pathetic...)

Love your simple pleasure.

Did you know that these plants came survive for years? My grandma had one and gave me a cutting, that I have today.
Congrulations on this one!
