Entering a season without flowers

The flowers are oh-so-beautiful on Macro Flower Saturday each week, and the orchids photographed by Maia are unbelievably beautiful.  However, in my part of the world, the flowers are few and far between.  Winter has come early, so I would need to find 'hothouse' flowers as my subjects.  However, this past week, I honored my lavender floribunda rose with two photographs after a sub-zero night and day. The rose is in a large wooden planter on my back porch to keep it from the foraging deer which have taken up residence in our small town.    Here are my frozen roses.

Wow! Yours look more rose-like than mine do! If I am going to keep going with this meme, I will have to delve into the archives! Looks like you will, too!

Very pretty! The weather here in the South varies so we always have something blooming.

These roses are gorgeous even now, I couldn't tell they are frozen without the ice visible on the second one.

Thanks for your beautiful words about my orchids.
It's winter by us too. I'm pampering a few orchids indoors but I'm not sure they will survive this winter.

There is still something quite beautiful about these flowers. All my flowers have died. The temperature in the UK is now below freezing every day. I actually went and bought some winter pansies to plant out in my front garden today. Planting them was hard work as the ground was totally frozen!! Hope your bathroom is working out ok. Sounds like you are doing some major work!
