Christmas Zygo

Maia has a 'snowy' Christmas cactus in her Macro Flowers Saturday post, and I just happen to have 3 Zygo cactus plants blooming this week.  I put the red plant in a west-facing window on a gray day and shot with tungsten white balance.  That's the reason for the bluish cast.  The frosty frame is a Picnik addition.

This is so pretty and the frozen frame is a lovely addition. It chimes in with the season and the flower.

I love it. I have shot some photos with tungsten too. And like you, got some stunning results. :)

My amaryllis are photoshopped. I had publised several photos of it and thought I can´t have another. So painted it. But I would very much like to have one with that color. :)
