Still another sad old barn

After this week, I need to go barn hunting for Tricia's Barn Charm  photo sharing.  My recent collection of images has been depleted.   (Oops!  Originally, I had 'deleted'!)  This particular barn is really a 'sway-back,' much like an old horse.  One of the owners told me that they know the barn is in bad shape (when they bought the property some years ago, the building was already decrepit), the deer like to seek shelter in one end, and the chickens prefer the other.  Wild turkeys are welcome on this country property, but they roost as high as possible at night, so it's doubtful that they choose the barn. (For processing, I adjusted the contrast and applied 'soft focus' in Picnik.)

What a beautiful old gal even if she is very tired. It looks like the roof is going to go before too long. The pines in the background make for good contrast.

A fine old barn to post for Barn Charm. I like the quality of the wood even though it appears about ready to fall down. Fine picture.

I don't think I have ever seen one quite this sway-backed. When it one day falls down, you will preserved it for history.

I love that roof..it looks like cear shakes! At least this barn is serving as a shelter for the wild animals.

I like this old barn and the way you processed it. With all that moss on the roof, my guess is the barn is entering its final stages. Have fun searching for more great barns. Sounds like a fun adventure.

It sure is sway-backed, isn't it... but it sure is beautiful in my eyes! =)

your editing is perfect for the shot... great find! =)

You say your collection of barns was deleted? OMG! I'd have a cow! YiKeS! But, you'll get them back on your next hunt... they'll still be there... so sorry about that though =0

a million thanks for joining

The roof looks too heavy for the barn as if it is sinking the whole structure into the ground.
I have not gotten out to search for new (old) barns to photograph and look forward to the challenge.

This is GORGEOUS Evelyn. It absolutely exudes character, which is exactly what I so dearly love about old (and yes, sometimes falling down!) buildings.

This is a beautiful photograph!

I love these old barn. They are such amazing constructions and even though they look like they've seem better days they are still standing!! Beautiful processing and here's to more barn finds.

Must have carried a heavy load in the middle for a time! But it provides a delightful photo...and your processing makes it even more so! Must be a lot of noise in that old barn at night what with deer and chickens and wild turkeys.

I think I drank some wild turkey once. Wasn't wild about it, though.

Thanks for stopping Colorado in Color - much appreciated!
