This barn is only 8 miles from where I live; this past year, the owners contracted with someone to start tearing it down, which made me sad. My biggest regret was that as many times as I had thought of doing it, I hadn't stopped to take a photograph. Now it's in skeletal form.

this is haunting but dreamy love it!
There is a barn near here that is almost like this...only it has stayed the same way all these years.
Love the texture you've added!
Nicely done!

It is so sad to see them torn down, but hopefully they are finding new life in someone's home. I love the texture of this photo, Evelyn.
There's some great wood in these old barns. I hope someone will make good use of it. Love what you did with this photo!!
Love the texture...makes it look so wild west to me! Sad that its being torn down.
I love, LOVE how you processed this barn!
I can't link into Linky so here's my barn for Barn Charm:

Love this photo! Although reduced to skeletal form as you called it, it's still beautiful. Your processing really adds to the vintage quality.
Ya know, when ya think about it (maybe think REALLY HARD, LoL!) why don't people keep these old barns standing on their property, if only for decoration? I've seen much much much worse 'yard art'! The history in these places alone is reason to leave them standing... although, if kids trespassed & got hurt, they could sue... BUT, post NO TRESPASSING signs! That's a solution, right?
I just hate to see them destroyed... it's heart wrenching! Sorry, I'm thinking out loud (type) again...
Anyway, this is a great find & I also think the texture is perfect for the barn... it matches! =)
This capture is fantastic, Evelyn! Such a perfect processing - I LOVE it!!
That barn skeleton must have quite a history! Imagine if it could talk~! Great Barn Charm posting!

Kind of sad with what happened to his barn. But glad that I've seen this, love the texture.
Red barn
This is just beautiful Evelyn!
You have captured one of my favorite types...natural light from all angles!
Really, really love this one!
Great processing!
I think that's why I started taking photos of the barns in my area -- they won't stand forever. Beautiful but sad photo. :)
Great photo, but indeed sad. I hate to see structures like this torn down.
Great picture! Bummer about the barn.
