I keep trying that macro
Somehow, my macro photography is regressing, degenerating, failing.... it's just not working very well. I haven't been participating in Macro Friday on Laura's Blogging from Bolivia very regularly because I just can't seem to get good macro shots. This particular snow-covered teasel was shot with a long lens this morning; I had to make an early 55-mile trip on business, and it had snowed overnight. Then it froze, so trees and weed and bushes alongside the roads were beautiful. I took a back road on the way home.

That's a beautiful photo! I'm just learning how to do macro shots myself. I find that when I crop them, they sure look a LOT better! :-)

Are you into wool craft? I mean have you ever used them in reality for raising the nap on handwoven wool? (fulling and crabbing)

By the way, I bey you'll find taking macro photos easier as the light improves over the Northern Hemisphere. :)

Do you have a macro lens or do you use a zoom lens? Either way, I find a tripod helps A LOT. If I don't have one with me (like with my macro beetle shot) have have to balance the camera on something stable. If I hand hold the camera my shots are a complete wreck.
Oh Evelyn, it's a beautiful capture... it's in focus & it's crisp & clear, plus, the bokeh background in really awesome... =) It's great!!! =)
