I'm trying to make a folded crane.....unsuccessfully

Lisa of The Creative Exchange has proposed the creation of an origami crane as part of a "1000 cranes for Japan" album on Flickr.   What a beautiful idea!   I've been sitting in front of my computer for an hour, and I've used two different sizes of squares of paper, but I can't get to the "bird base" yet.   I'll try again later.    Until then, my processed white tulip image will have to do.  It's one of many images I've played with over the weekend with my grocery store bunch of tulips.      When I am successful with an origami crane,  I will post that, too.

Evelyn - Don't feel bad! A little admission here? I'll bet I paused those instructions at least 50 times!!!

I just love your tulips, especially since it is spring, but even more so because we had 3 inches of snow here this morning :-( I need spring things badly!!

Thank you so much for sharing them today at The Creative Exchange.

Have a wonderful day!

What a wonderful photo, Evelyn! I love your tulips and the processing you are doing - so gorgeous! I was also working on a crane this weekend - sooo difficult and I was really helpless, despite pausing and rewinding the instructions several times!

Evelyn, I admire you for even trying! I didn't even attempt because I knew it was something I could not do properly. I think your tulips and processing are beautiful.

What a gorgeous image! I haven't tried making the cranes yet, but I can't wait to use my bone folder (a la Martha Stewart).

Very pleasing combination Evelyn.
Looks more like tulips from a Bond Street florist now :-)

Beautifully put together - I love it. :)

Your tulips are just beautiful. Mine just stayed upright, which didn't make for a decent pic!

I was a failure at the elegant style of crane but found a simple one which required fewer folds and less stress!

Ok, now, that's another favorite... it looks like someone is writing a love letter & thinking of the flowers they'll send w/ the letter at the same time... Very dream-like! =)

This is simply dreamy! It's so soft and pretty. And I love the script in the background. Lovely.
