Sweet Treat and Silence ....two beautiful textures

Kim's Texture Tuesday this week challenges us to use the two textures of "Sweet Treat" and "Silence."

This is the original image.  This is my recipe:
Duplicate background
Hue/Sat..pull Sat to 45%
Add Sweet Treat soft light 100%
Adjust contrast in Levels
Add Silence soft light 100%
Duplicate layer soft light 100%
Adjust lights and darks in Levels
Add Sweet Treat screen 35%
Add another layer of Sweet Treat screen 31%
Add text

Click on a photo to enlarge it.

First, I cropped the image to focus on the blooms.

(I don't use any "spam-stoppers" on my blog.)

I love tulips. Isn't it interesting to see how a photo changes when cropped. I would have fun experimenting with cropping your photo in different ways -- there are a lot of sweet spots in it. Pink is an attitude...I'm going to think pink today and maybe wear it. Cheers to texture play and photography!

Evelyn, this is superb processing! Thank you for showing your original image because that helps me see the possibilities in my own otherwise ordinary photos.

So Pretty. Love the softness and foggy feel of this. Perfect quote too. I find that pink is my color of choice for spring too.

Hi Evelyn you are doing good in your texturizing (is there a word like that? hehe). Thanks for the comment and yes the orange says something "maybe it says keep off!!" lol!

I know it's been said before, but "dreamy" is the word for this! I LOVE it! You've inspired me to be a bit bolder with the opaque effect of some of the blending modes.

And thank you for such kind words over at my place. =)
