Our lilacs generally don't bloom until late May unless we have a warm spring. We have NOT had a warm spring this year, so the lilacs are only now starting to bloom. Our white lilac is part of an old bush that was more like a tree when we bought our house 33 years ago; it was already old. A heavy wet snowstorm one winter took the "tree" down, but new shoots grew in the spring. Now the shrub is about 7 feet tall again. I've also planted two varieties of purple lilacs in the same space, so it's a variegated gathering.
For Kristy's Weekend Texture Twist, I've simply added two layers of Mist Cool, one at 100% soft light and the second at 40% soft light, with a little erasure of the texture on the buds.

Wonderful tones of greens. So fresh looking with the white. Great use of texture works really well with the image.

We have a white lilac we received by mistake in a bundle of purple lilacs. They are so pretty. Well done, Evelyn. :)
