Red and White (and the Blue Mountains) on the Fourth of July

I've seen this beautiful barn from a distance so many times, but today I asked my husband to drive a side road so I could photograph it for Barn Charm this week.  It's obviously well-maintained, and it stands out in the countryside, no matter the season.   I took the photograph from a little more than a quarter-mile away; it was the best distance and angle to capture the barn. I decided against cropping the photo because the setting is so beautiful, too.  In the background is Mt. Emily, which rises over 6000 feet.     The house on this farm is white, but all the other outbuildings are white with red roofs like the main barn.   When we got nearer, I saw masses of red next to the house---poppies--Icelandic, maybe?   Waves and waves of them border the driveway beside the house.   This is one color-coordinated farm!  (The image at the bottom is one of the poppies manipulated in the Orton technique, which I just learned.)

(crummy focus on the poppies, so I just increased the soft focus)

Beautiful! I love the red and that they used it throughout as a continuing theme. The poppies are gorgeous!
