my first visit to Oregon was in 1976, via a greyhound bus, and the route followed the Columbia River westward. it was one of the most beautiful sights I'd ever seen, the roadway lined in places with that delicious Scot's Broom. and the river itself was so different looking because of the surrounding landscape. I was used to seeing more winding rivers lined with trees, etc. I found it to be a beautiful land, and one that I've visited over and over through the years, as my sister still lives there. your photo does it justice - and more! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend Evelyn.

You have such dramatic scenery all over the country. Very impressive view. You must want to stop all the time and get the camera out. Hope your chauffeur is patient :-)
