A Default "Sunday Best"

Nancy (A Rural Journal)  has decided to cut back on her blogging challenges, which I truly understand!  Her blog, her newsletter, her two photo challenges.....that's a lot of work pulling her away from the enjoyment of her fabulous photography!  For her last week of "Your Sunday Best" before hiatus, I've stumbled into the challenge.  I had a drought in my photography this week, and even a Sunday afternoon drive didn't help.  The egrets took flight when we got near and the Blue Heron simply disappeared when I got out of the pickup along the highway, climbed over the guardrail and walked back to the river bridge.  So frustrating!  The field of commercial sunflowers just looked blah on the monitor, so I resorted to photographing the final fresh-looking flower I have growing---a pink double fuchsia that likes the north-facing light on our front porch.   It isn't the way I wanted to finish, but that's the way it turned out.   Thanks, Nancy!

Evelyn, I love this picture -- the flowers are gorgeous, as is the background color.

Isn't it just the worst when none of one's plans work out? I'm so glad you "discovered" your fuchsia as models as they are really so beautiful!
