I've been desperate to find subjects for photography recently, and on the drive back from visiting my mother, I pulled off the side of the highway to see what I could find in the dry grass. Simple brown weeds with little seed pods. Some textures from a Flickr freebie and French Kiss resulted in just the kind of conversion I was seeking! I'm linking up again with Lisa's wonderful Creative Exchange.

Gorgeous image Evelyn, well done.
Really pretty...love the texture-work!
Those basic dried up things from the roadside are the bread and butter of editing I find. The more luxurious the flower, the harder it is to transform. This is nice and golden.
Simple but so effective, especially with the use of the texture. Great conversation piece.
I LOVE this. I LOVE THIS!!!!!
Wish I had a good camera, but I have other thingies you might not have, like stamps, ink etc LOL
Wonderful combination Evelyn, great colours and textures, I love seed heads, they're so interesting!
Looks wonderful! I found a place that constantly renews itself and give me ideas. 500px.com, people from all over the world post their pictures there. Some are truly amazing. Yours would look good there, too! Thanks for the photo!
Beautifully done! I love the texture! Happy day to you!
Wonderful! Love the feeling the added textures gives to the photo!
And what a thrill your weed gives me! A perfect example of how one can make something (with an imiginative spirit) from nothing at all!
This image is just gorgeous! It's amazing what you could find on the roadside. But I guess it wouldn't have turned out this beautiful without your skill and the idea of adding texture.
Oh, I love the colors! A perfect image for the fall!

Exquisitely beautiful! Such a perfect September image!!!

Wonderful work Evelyn! I too have been struggling to find new subjects to photograph. I think the answer may be just get in the car and drive somewhere new!
Gorgeous image. Im coming from the Exchange.
Such an eye for making the simplest things beautiful Evelyn!
This is beautiful, Evelyn. You have a great knack for manipulating an already great photo into something memorable. :)

Beautiful! What a great find!
Dried weeds make some of the best pictures. Love this!
You nailed it perfectly! WoW! =)
Loved your picture and the texturing. I too absolutely love my photography, which I rediscovered about 3 years ago. I totally understand it when you say you were desparate for a subject and stopped along the roadside. Made me laugh as I am somewhat of a photograph stalker myself. Isn't it fun? and the texturing is also a blast. Thanks for sharing! Jeanne http://thebutterflymetamorphosis.blogspot.com.
