Across the street from our house is a very old Methodist church; some years ago, someone planted a Blue Spruce tree in the lawn. It's beautiful all the time. Today, I got up close and personal (too close can be uncomfortable) to capture the growing cones for
i heart macro.

beautiful shot, I can almost smell the fresh scent of pine
Our farm is surrounded by blue spruce that we planted when we moved here and they are such a beautiful tree. I love your macro shot, Evelyn. It reveals so much about why I love the spruce. :)
Hope you are having an enjoyable weekend.
That's a gorgeous picture! I love the lighting and the detail in the needles!
Beautiful shot, Evelyn. I love the little bits of bokeh in the background. I have three blue spruce trees in my yard...you're right, they do always look beautiful.

Perfectly gorgeous shot! It made me homesick for the mountains in NY.
The Blue Spruce looks delightful, something of beauty all year round.
Beautiful macro shot, a true wonder that perspective of the branch. Greetings and happy Halloweend.
I hope you didn't get poked in the eye close. This is beautiful. I'd love to have something like this in my yard.
What pretty detail and you're right those spruce needles can be deadly when poked with one.
