A Time For.....
Lisa's post for The Creative Exchange this week addresses the fact that there is a time for everything: emptiness of a park bench, stillness of a playground swing, and the very opposite phases of a flower. It's difficult for me to let summer go because I really dislike winter. It's also difficult for me to let flowers go, but I've discovered over the past year that phases make interesting photo subjects. Such is the case of this stand of dead flowers at the edge of a dry lot.

Evelyn - this is absolutely stunning work!!! I love how you saw this and transformed it!!
This has to be one of my favorites of your wonderful creations. Exquisite, Evelyn!
very pretty.
A work of art!
Gorgeous photo! I was moved by the color and texture. Well done!
Oh, I hear you, Evelyn! I don't want to think of winter and I'll miss the flowers just the same! I love your photo!
Wonderful photo.
The textures and colors here are wonderful, especially those touches of pale green that are such a lovely contrast to the autumn rusts, golds and browns.
I too am having a real hard time letting go of summer Evelyn, but as you have so beautifully shown here, there are still so many wonderful things left as the summer winds down. this is really a wonderful photograph, and I love the processing you did on it.
Thank you so much for sharing this today at The Creative Exchange.
Have a wonderful evening!
lisa.
Magnificent, Evelyn. :) Did you "borrow" some seeds for your own yard? :)

I missed this yesterday...awesome picture Evelyn.
Evelyn, even in their withering state, they are still graceful and beautiful. You managed to capture their essence. Great job!
So incredibly beautiful. I love the tones and the interest in these faded blooms. Lovely work!
I certainly understand what you're saying... I dislike winter, too, & that's putting it mildly! =)
I wish flowers & trees didn't have to die every year... it would make winter much more interesting if they didn't!!! =)
Masterful work1
