REDISCOVERING MYSELF THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY

Winter at 5000' feet of elevation

I stressed about my regular Monday photos (Creative Exchange and P52) over Thanksgiving because I went out  of the house just once.  That was to take "snow"  photos of our son and his fiancee'  just 15 miles from here into the Blue Mountains.  Today, I just couldn't decide on a single image, so chose these three for Lisa's Creative Exchange.  We don't have snow in the valley, which suits my husband just fine.  The mountains surrounding us are white, though.

Snow poles to guide snow plows
in deeper snow on Hwy 204

Frosty trees against blue sky

Bright yellow of Western Larch among the pines and
firs.  "Tamarack" is a conifer that turns color and drops
its needles; it blazes yellow among all the green in the fall.

I won't be seeing any snow where I am (in the tropics), but it's pretty to see in your lovely photos. I bet you had a hoot with the photo shoot of the couple in love!

I think myself so lucky to have internet buddies to share photos like this; it makes me in touch with your world and I think it's so picturesque. I know how COLD it must be to endure (and you know how HOT our summers can be-mid 40 degree celcius around New Year), BUT I love the serenity photos like these evoke. Just beautiful Evelyn

Lovely shots of the early snow! Isn't nice to be able to visit it, but not have it visit you?

We were up in Oregon for thanksgiving. We drive up to Crater Lake. Seeing your images reminds me of how beautiful it was up there.

Those frosty branches framed by the blue sky are exquisite! And I guess I can't complain about "too much snow" anymore because it could be worse....we could have SNOW POLES!!!! :)
