REDISCOVERING MYSELF THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY

Goodbye to The Creative Exchange

When I read Lisa's post and her announcement that this is the last Creative Exchange, I was sad...but I almost expected it.  These photography memes are big things!  The ones I participate in have grown so large that I find it difficult, if not impossible, to visit most posts.   I always think of the one who hosts the weekly event, knowing that there is only so much time in a week, and there is life to live, after all.    I'm happy to have been a part of Creative Exchange from the very beginning---and now the very end.   Thank you, Lisa, for all these weeks of enjoyment. I, for one, will be following your beautiful photography and wishing you the very best.

For my final Creative Exchange post, I'm sharing what has been a dream for me:  a decent photo of a Bald Eagle.  My 91-year-old mother was with me when I took this photo, and I think she was almost as thrilled as I was that the eagle was so cooperative after flying from one tree to another next to the road we were driving.  (The tree was right above the lake now gracing my blog header.)

Woof, a bald eagle!
But he seems to have white hairs!
And I don't think he wants any dog looking at him so I'm out of here!

Yes, some goodbyes are hard but only when we look back. We always miss seeing the road ahead ;-)

That eagle looks handsome! Great shot!

That is a stunning picture of the bald eagle. How lucky you are to get a picture of it.
I am also very sad that The Creative Exchange is closing - I have really enjoyed being part of it.

Evelyn, this is absolutely magnificent! I have never photographed one of these, and I am not sure I would even think to take out my camera if I saw one. I would be so in awe.

Thank you so very much for your kind words. I knew this would be difficult, but I never realized just how much so, until I began making my "rounds" this morning.

Have a wonderful day, and I'll still be seeing you in "Blogland," for sure!

I am sad, too, about the end of The Creative Exchange, but I can certain understand. You put it perfectly. I followed the first months of a baby bald eagle and its parents. The nest was across the river so the trees really blocked my views. I did get some nice shots, but nothing like this. This is one of those once in a lifetime captures. Kudos to you. genie

Evelyn from Oregon, our path's cross again! I love this shot of the eagle. I took one in our neighborhood a month or so ago, it was a thrill, but not as gorgeous as your capture! May we meet again in blogville
