I'm cutting it close on Barn Charm this week. For some reason, I got distracted by all kinds of other things. My barn images were captured at the end of last week. The owner of the barn told my brother that he had wanted to figure out a way to save the old building, but it was just too much. It sits in a meadow at the edge of what we call the "high mountains." The road ends not far from the barn; at that point, it becomes a trail into the wilderness.

Fantastic photos! And again the setting is just wonderful! It would be nice to be able save this one, but I think it's just too far gone. It'll be sad to see it fall down though. It looks like such an integral part of the scene.
oh, that poor old beauty...
Oh my goodness, poor old barn, indeed! That would have been a neat hunting cabin if it could have been saved, too bad... what a beautiful setting in the high mountains... glad you got a few last minute shots before she's history!
Thanks for joining, Evelyn =)
It seems such a shame to see it fall to pieces. Is there any history behind it? or would the community consider helping salvage it?

Wow you got some great shots of this old barn. That last one is awesome. So sad to see it in such a sorry state though.
What a beautiful setting! Sadly, the barn does look a bit beyond hope.
Too bad it can't be saved. The setting is gorgeous!
Oh, that's sad.
It does look like it would take an awful lot to save this, but you know I can envision just how wonderful might be.
These are wonderful Evelyn, and what a great find!
hmm they must have gotten to thinking about saving it too late, I found myself a barn last weekend, very unusual in a city and this one was right in the middle of a town, there were other rustic buildings there too but I had to play petanque so not much time to take photographs
i love the 1st shot. gorgeous view. postcard ready. i will be linking up next week. missed out due to being in disney world. take care. (:
