On a drive in my "home" county in NE Oregon this past week, I could look to the east and see Idaho's Seven Devils mountains so clearly. "The Seven Devils make up the Idaho rim of Hells Canyon, and they are one of the most spectacular mountain ranges in the West. The Seven Devils Range has more than seven peaks. The names He Devil and She Devil were established long ago. The remaining peaks were named at later times. The elevation drop from He Devil to the Snake River is a breathtaking 8043 feet." I'm not sure what the distance is "as the crow flies," but Hells Canyon's west side is in Oregon. And I'm certain it's farther than it looked that day.

beautiful, evelyn. :)
Awesome shot. I need to get a polarizer...and some more lenses.
Looking at the title I thought I am going to have a fantastic story about Seven Devils fighting with a warrior.
It may be belonged to history, hidden somewhere in a corner.
It is a nice shot, by the way.
Happy Sunday.
Just beautiful!!
I've seen that with my own eyes and it is a sight to behold... your shot is beautiful!
Gorgeous country, Evelyn! And a fantastic photo! I'm jealous.
I love your new header with the sparkling water and impressive close-up of the mountains.
Nice mountain range shot with pastel skies too!
A wonderful scene.
Regards and best wishes
We are headed your way in August and I cannot wait to see my family and the landscape. This is one gorgeous shot and so different from what I see here in VA. Have a nice Sunday and keep on shooting. genie
Great shot of the mountains, it almost looks like you could walk there! Love the new header picture too!
So clear and bright -- happy that you were able to capture such a brilliant shot, Ev.
