99 Years Young

It's #79 of Tricia's Barn Charm and I've chosen one of my finds from the Joseph area of Wallowa County.  It's a treasure trove of barns, I've discovered on my drives with my mother.   This barn is known as the "Ira Pace Barn."   Its construction date is recorded in obvious fashion.

That barn is in REALLY great shape at 99! Just goes to show what a little upkeep will do! :)

It's in a great setting with those mountains in the background.
Your editing of the shot is lovely!

How considerate of them to put the construction date on it! That is an OLD barn! But, it looks to be in good shape for its age...great photo!

Amazing textures and contrasts here, those greenish blue hills look a bit eerie. Somehow the barn looks almost alive - I don't know why but it's almost as if it is about to jump in the air... or so it seems to me. This probably sounds crazy ! :)

Love that the year is posted -- we have a barn down the road with 1922 on the front. Just a youngin'. :)

Beautiful capture, Evelyn.

Thanks, Evelyn =)

Isn't it wonderful that it's still around. I see some fencing around it but I'm sure that just for its own protection against some who might not appreciate her beauty like the rest of us and might try to take advantage!
