Yellow Magnolia

I was at Brooklyn Botanic Garden last week---just in time for cherry blossoms and tulips, but too early for most blooming plants.  However, it was time for the yellow magnolia, a variety developed at BBG in the 70's.

(This is my entry for Weekly Top Shot on Madge's blog.)

Such a subtle yellow. I almost missed the blossom in the far right. Really nice shot.

Evelyn, this is breathtakingly beautiful!
I have never seen a yellow magnolia other than in a photo. The ones we see here are either pink or white. We actually ordered 3 yellow ones this year. Now if the weather would just cooperate, so we could plant it!!
'One of your very best for sure!!
Happy Sunday to you!

What a beauty this magnolia is. I don't believe I've ever seen the yellow variety.
