Edit The Kitty

Edit Me

Nancy of A Rural Journal is judging the Edit Me challenge this week. Branson and Stephanie are the hosts. Nancy has provided this wonderful image of one of her cats for participants to practice their editing skills.  As with all of Nancy's photos, this is already a winner.  The rules for Edit Me:

This challenge is all about taking a photo and making it your own with the editing program of your choice! It is also about learning a little bit from each other, and exploring new styles! There are no restrictions (unless specifically stated within the post for the week), but we do ask that you share a little bit about how you arrived at your finished product.

And the prize this week for the lucky winner -- a seat in an awesome Photoshop and Photoshop Elements editing workshop hosted by Kim Young at Mom Tried It.

Here is my simple edit:  First, I cropped the image at the top, then applied a RadLab "stylet" called "Rusty Cage."   Finally, I added the "smoke" frame in Pixlr-o-Matic.

It looks so soft now!!! Lovely! I've been wanting to get some of the radlab stuff, so it's cool to see it in action.

Ooooo... He's BEAUTIFUL! And such a difference from the original! Wow! Cool. I want to do this too! LOL!! The problem is I want to do everything and then I get WAY behind with it all. Oh well... I've learned so much by CRAMMING it all in, just the same. Ha hah... ;)

Lovely edit, Evelyn! :) xo

Nicely done. It has a nice vintage feel. Isn't that kitty sweet. I took up the challenge as well as I just couldn't resist the kitty photo.
