Farm Equipment Art

This 4-wheel side delivery hay rake was parked near the highway a couple of counties away from here, and I was fascinated by the shapes.  (When I was growing up, raking hay was one of my summer jobs, and we certainly didn't have a contraption like this!)  I played with the photograph in Topaz Adjust and Rad Lab (the b&w)  to achieve these images.

These are fantastic Evelyn!
It's hard to choose, but I think the 6th one is my favorite. Love those tones.

Great shots! It's been a bit since I've been at your site because I've been so busy. Good to see the great shots continuing!!!

Love all your takes on the hay raker. I always enjoy experimenting with different processing techniques. These rakers are common place here in my county. I have never actually seen one at work, but I have seen lots sitting in the fields. Nice shot. genie

Cool edits! I think I like the third picture the best! :)
Thanks for the link to the pictures of the fossil beds, I just love that kind of stuff!

Boy, you really went to town editing this. My fave has to be the 2nd from the bottom. I like the dreamy effect.

I like the SOOC shot the best because I usually prefer reality! It shows the lovely colours of the white and the rust which mingle so well with the colour of the earth behind! If I had to choose a fun shot, it would have to be number 5!
