It's a range of mountains I'd never seen before....or at least don't remember seeing the only other time I traveled to Grant County and Prairie City, Oregon. My husband and I were on a one-day trip to the John Day Fossil Beds, and the highway took us through pine forests at high elevations to a junction that led to lower (but still high desert) locations. This is the Strawberry Mountain Range; the tallest peak, Strawberry Mountain, is 9038 feet tall. I'm linking up with Nancy's Your Sunday Best.

Evelyn, I have always wanted to go to John Day Fossil Beds. I was near it last year but didn't get the chance to go. Supposed to be amazing! I hope you had the best time while visiting there. And, sorry I've been quiet, I;m behind again on all my blog reading and what-not. But I wanted to pop in and say hi and take a look at what you've been up lately. And it's all GOOD. Your photograph is AMAZING! Beautifully composed!
