I love roses, but I know very little about them. Generally, I've grown them as annuals because I could never seem to keep them alive through the winter. In the past two years, however, I've planted rose bushes in wooden barrels, just the right size for one plant. They sit on our back deck, which is an extension of the porch. They are easy to care for and the deer can't get to them. This spring I bought a new rose, called Just Joey. It bloomed this week, and I'm thrilled with this hybrid tea rose's beautiful "dreamsicle" color and ruffly edges. I've chosen "Just Joey" for Your Sunday Best. (I was tempted to play with some editing, but Joey is beautiful SOOC.)

What a beautiful color! Perfect, just as it is.
Glad those pesky deer can't get to it. For such pretty animals, they can be real pests. They eat almost everything here.
Again, a beautiful photo.

Gorgeous rose photo, Evelyn. What a vibrant colour!
I love it when flowers are SOOC, they bring out the beauty in natures creations
It is perfect just the way it is - a beautiful colour and I love the frilly petals - great photo!
Hi Evelyn! Just Joey is in my garden also; it also has a wonderful scent and I love to bring them indoors and keep on my kitchen bench
Wow...just beautiful!! Love the color♥
What a gorgeous rose!! It does remind me of a dreamsicle. Good choice to go sooc. It's so beautiful all by itself without any enhancements. :)
Delicate tea as it should be, but the colour is gorgeous. A beautiful portrait.
I love your "dreamsicle" description, which is spot on for this beautiful bloom.
Thank you for sharing at Your Sunday Best this week, Evelyn. xoxo
