Kennedy and her shadow

Last weekend, my husband and I babysat our great-niece Kennedy for the fourth consecutive annual rodeo  weekend.  She was just 6 months old that first year.  Last year I was crippled up with a hip issue that led to hip replacement in September, so this year was especially fun. I could walk anywhere I wanted.  And Kennedy is a 3 1/2 year old that I would take anyplace!  She's bright, funny, and well-behaved.   Our house is just about 3 blocks from the rodeo grounds, so we walked Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoon.   She loved the walk, and she loved checking out her shadow.  It's my Sunday Best for Nancy's A Rural Journal

Kennedy is so sweet with her curly locks. She does seem like a well-mannered child. Our latest grandchild is named Kennedy, a girl, too. It was her mother's maiden name and she had always wanted a girl to have it for a first name. :)

She looks adorable and it must be so much fun to spend time with her. Me, I'm waiting for my 27-year-old son to get a long-term girlfriend :p
