Remembering Summer

Here's hoping that Nancy was able to get her house ready for the appraisal!

Only 20 miles into the Blue Mountains from my house are sites called Tollgate, Spout Springs, and Umatilla Canyon.  I took these photos at the end of July, and I'm linking up with Nancy's Rural Thursday this week. (My Audubon's Field Guide to Northern American Wildflowers did not help me identify the flowers.)

Sentinels

Reminder of how the landscape changes in winter -- for winter snowmobilers when the snow is more than 9 feet deep.

Ubiquitous Indian Paintbrush

If they are weeds, they are pretty ones!

A member of the coneflower family?

A perfect collection of woodland beauty.

(I was scrubbing floors at 7 am this morning, but I got it all done before 10:30 when the appraiser arrived.)
