Last night I decided to bicycle for my exercise this morning; for 7 weeks, I've been doing a two-mile walking program in front of a video. However, when I woke up, it was snowing. It's the first of the year, and it isn't supposed to last more than a day. My previous two posts have featured the glories of fall colors; today, they have a different look. (I took this photo through the window in my family room; our young red maple still has leaves. And I didn't take a bike ride!)

Wow, I can't believe there's snow already! You captured these frosty leaves beautifully. The depth of field is awesome!
i love your falling leaves ... that is awesome effect. snow already ... wow. that is a real change. we are having 77 degree temps here in VA this afternoon... but tonight it will be in the 40's i'm sure. amazing how it can flip back & forth so quickly & often. stay warm. (:
As much as I hate to see the cold and snow arrive, this sure is beautiful, Evelyn!
Beautifully done!
Love that look as if you took the leaf out of the freezer
oh yours is the definite first of the season. I haven't seen snow here yet but I can see it on the distant mountains. I sure hope we have a mild winter...
... after all, you don't want to get your camera wet!! :) I love the first snow... and trudged out with my camera protected with a bread bag last year. :)
Lovely.
Snow, already! You captured it beautifully, Evelyn, and through a window no less.
I really like this photo. So soft, just like snow.
What a lovely picture but it makes me cold to look at it!! Brrrr!
Snow? Already? Is that typical for those parts? It's been in the 80's all week, here... =0
Oh brrr....no snow here in the valley yet but you can see it on the mountains. I'm so not looking forward to it either.
This is a pretty shot though.
