Trees, Snow, Gusts of Wind

The snow was drifted deep alongside the road the two-lane highway that serves as a mountain pass, and the trees were heavy with the white stuff.  A gust of wind pushed the powdery snow into clouds, creating a brief mystical image. I've decided to join in on Madge's Rurality Blog Hop this week.

Wow, that is some serious snow! How does anything survive in that? I hope all the birds flew south!
