Cloud over Mt. Harris

The Grande Ronde Valley in NE Oregon is 35 miles long (north to south) and 15 miles wide, drained by the circuitous Grande Ronde River, which is 182 miles in length.    The valley is 2700 feet in elevation and the west side is dominated by the Blue Mountains, while the Eagle Caps are to the southeast.  There are at least 3 familiar mountains with names:  Mt. Fanny (7100 feet), Mt. Emily (6100 feet) and Mt. Harris (5300 feet).   The closest to my home is Mt. Harris, which was named for an early settler.  Yesterday was a beautiful spring-like day, with amazing clouds in the blue sky.   Mt. Harris was crowned with a special formation.    (Linking up today with Madge's Weekly Top Shot.)

Love this view - you captured all the details, down to the field elements. I bet it was even better in real life, and I am grateful to have seen it through your photo.
