A Fun Train Robbery

About 5 years ago, our local rodeo organization, the Stampeders, began conducting a Wild West robbery of the local excursion train.  The story involves  Stella Rose, a woman who leads a gang of outlaws; the Sheriff who is taking Stella Rose to jail; a Preacher and some Saloon Girls who are along for the ride, and of course...Outlaws on horseback.  In the hour between our town and the robbery site, passengers are treated to a drama moving through the four train cars, with passengers receiving beads and play money that the robbers would "steal," Saloon girls flirting with the passengers and even singing, and Stella Rose pleading for help from the passengers.  When the train is stopped at a crossing miles down the track, outlaws on horseback surround the train and several board the train to relieve the passengers of their beads and play money. With the assistance of the Saloon girls and Preacher, they rescue Stella Rose from the Sheriff, who becomes a captive himself.   Everyone rides off on horseback, leaving delighted passengers to complete their train ride. (Each year, I ride the train to record the action.)

What a super fun post. This would be something I would enjoy doing. Loved your shots. I liked the ones of the riders heading towards the train and that last group shot was really fun too.
