One look at my computer "nest," and it's easy to see that nothing is very simple in my life right now. I'm doing the final report for a big grant my organization received for a 4-year restoration project....and I really don't know how to do the financial part of it! Two days from now, my husband and I leave for the other side of the state where our youngest son will be married on Sunday. That means I need to hire someone to water 18 or so pots and baskets of flowers, not to mention my husband's four beautiful tomato plants that are loaded with fruit. I would welcome some simplicity. Henry David Thoreau completed his statement:
“Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! I say, let your affairs be as two or three, and not a hundred or a thousand instead of a million count half a dozen, and keep your accounts on your thumb-nail.”

Lovely image..the words are just perfect for it.
How dreamy, peaceful image! Beautiful!
so pretty and a good reminder for me as "simplify" is my word for the year...good luck with your very busy week ahead!
Yes! Simplicity is best. Oft times I am too busy, filling up my days with stuff. Thank you, Evelyn for a short but convicting post! Have a wonderful trip :)
I hear you girlfriend! Hoping things settle down soon for the both of us. I miss our little back-and-forths as well. xo
If life doesn't seem simple just now your picture is simple and beautiful. Thank goodness I have so good neighbour that they do the watering and taking post etc. never no worries when living somewhere.
This is beautifully simple, Evelyn, and I love the softness of it.
A very big congratulations on your son's wedding!!
sometimes simplicity can be just finding the ordinary in the midst of chaos. When things get out of control for me I find that focusing on just the one thing I am doing and putting all other worries away while I'm doing it helps. I love your photo. It exemplifies simplicity.
Simple Beauty! So soft and lovely.
I agree, Keep It Simple Silly (KISS).
Soemtimes, easier said than done, but we shall try.
exquisitely so
do enjoy the wedding!!!
Lovely image and the quote...oh I wish I could simplify!
Perfect marriage of words and picture....I think simplification is hard and an on going process..at least for me....It seems to be a process instead of a one time event....
Lovely image! and I sure can relate .... I need more simplicity in my life!!
Such beautiful simplicity !! ♥
