Across the Fence

My drive with my mother last week was on a familiar country road in an area called "Alder Slope."  These were the outstanding non-human faces that I was able to photograph with a telephoto lens across the car and through the passenger side window.  The cow was leaning over the fence to eat grass; she was totally undisturbed when we stopped  not six feet from her.  The quail was on lookout for his young ones that were somewhere in the long grass, and the llama was either inquisitive or aggressive.

...lovely photos and I've found too, that a car is an excellent 'hide' if you can park it in the right spot

What alovely way to spend time with your mother, the memories will be awesome. Do either of you ever tire of driving?
