Another One for the Book

I take my Project 52 challenge (Kent Weakley's Project 52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday) very seriously. One photo a week, with a photo book to be published at the end of the year. Obviously, I want each photo to be one that I really like, one that's worth printing in a book. Each week, I work diligently to take the kind of photo that's "book-worthy."  Yesterday and today were challenging, to say the least. I took 3 separate drives to capture what would work---each time, I was disappointed. And then this one showed up on my monitor--a wire gate to a farmer's field.

Oh yes, I do love the texture of the wood post against the soft prairie grass.

Evelyn, I ADORE this photo!! I tried taking a similar shot of a barbed wire fence the other day that had yellow wildflowers and they turned out abysmal. Maybe I need to try this treatment.
