Our youngest son married his long-time sweetheart in August and they adopted Chloe in October. She's a 4-month-old Goldendoodle...her mother is a curly poodle-mix, brown and black in color. Her father is a Golden Retriever. Chloe is one of 11 black puppies and 1 blonde one in the litter. The plan is to train her to be a therapy dog for children. Our son is a behavioral intervention therapist and our daughter-in-law is a social worker who presently works in the pediatric psychiatric ward of a Portland hospital. Chloe must learn to be calm, able to tolerate annoyances in behavior and sounds. She is already well-behaved, and responds well to voice and hand commands, but still has puppy moments. A city dog who didn't know snow before her visit to NE Oregon, she decided she loves the white stuff. It was about 2 feet deep where we were and frozen enough that we could walk on it, and Chloe could dig.
