Sunrise at 8 degrees F

It was a 20-mile drive to an event I was  participating in this morning--- 7:30 a.m., 8 degrees above zero and a beautiful sky.  I had only my phone with me because I decided against taking my camera, which would have to stay in a below-freezing car half a day.

such a beautiful sky Evelyn. While we're worlds apart, I give big consideration to taking my camera out in the car during the summer. Fine if just going to a location especially for the purpose but if it's likely to have to sit about in the car while I do other things.....I often will put my camera in the insulated esky. That's what we call them here; I think you have another name for them? A cooler box?? I don't put an ice-brick in with it though but I'm sure it helps. I'm sure the same principle would work for you too; to insulate your camera from the cold some.

Beautiful shades of blue!

My daughter texted pics of snow in Portland. They are off work today because it's still snowing! Unusual winter we're all having.
