I used one of Kim's textures (Silent Night) a little dramatically (Hard Light blending mode) on this image--and then overlaid another texture (0603) to soften everything. Joining with Kim's Texture Tuesday.

This effect is very nice, love the soft but contrasting tones!
Thanks a lot Evelyn, for your kind comment on my cherry blossom post. Although I have not too much time to take and edit photos, this is definitely my favourite hobby - right after my wife... ;-) I personally favor the subtle use of textures and other image editing; in my opinion a good photography does not (always) need vigorous coloration. Sometime less is more... Regards from sunny Germany, enjoy your weekend, Uwe.

Oh, that is lovely! I like the hard light effect. It's beautiful with the white flowers.
I like the focus of the flowers with the textures. Beautiful.
Beautifully done. Wonderful contrast between softness of roses and the roughness of the texture.
