A Fence in Spring

It has been so long since I've posted a fence photo for Theresa's Good Fences meme, but here's a simple one I photographed last weekend.  Obviously, it's a fence built to keep cattle where they are supposed to be after they've been turned out to graze for the summer,  and this time of year, it sits among lush grass and wildflowers. (I think the sunny flowers are Arrowleaf  Balsam Root flowers, which are early bloomers on the hills around here.  This year, they are blooming in abundance.) Correction:  Evidently the flowers are Mules Ears; now I don't know the difference between Balsam Root and Mules Ears!

This is wonderful. It's got most everything I love about the outdoors....wildflowers, trees, mountains, and a nice fence! Just needs a bird. :)

it is really lovely to see the wildflowers in the meadow through the fence.

Funny thing I was thinking this morning that you hadn't been posting to the Fence Meme and low and behold I get an e-mail and you are posting a fence shot. I had to stop in to see what you photographed. I wasn't disappointed. This is a lovely shot (better enlarged) with the colors of the flowers and grasses and the green hillsides. It was worth stopping in for.
