Two years ago, one of the two local banks had beautiful pink double poppies blooming in one of the flower barrels; I snagged a dried pod in the fall and grew my own pink poppies the next year. Then the squirrels ate all the seed pods! I do believe I have two plants that are coming up....but they are more elegant than these "regular" Oriental poppies blooming in the bank's landscaped floral spot right now. However, I spent a few minutes one morning photographing the blossoms that seem to disintegrate so quickly. I'm linking up with Mona's Floral Love meme. (Image was edited with Mona's Andante and Powder Puff textures.)

How pretty they are. Love the delicate pink color. All the photos people share at Floral Love makes me think I really need to explore and add more flowers to my small flower bed. I'm just not a green thumb. :)

How delicate looking this poppy and you have captured it with a beautiful texture addition Evelyn...
Those look like silk paper! So pretty!!
They are really pretty in this soft pink. I love these plants esp. in this color!
A great texture work Evelyn!

I have never seen a pink poppy. Gorgeous!
Heisann!
The most beautiful ones!
This is such a beautiful treat, Evelyn.
We don't see many (if any) pink poppies here. Mostly the red/orange variety, and although they are beautiful, I just love the pinks and whites.
A wonderful image, very very nice ....
