Week 29 of Project 52

This little two-year-old named Hailey was fascinated with the goat in a rodeo Family Night event....goat tail untying.  A bright ribbon is tied on the tail of a goat 30 yards from the start line; in groups of three, 3-7-year-olds race to the goats and pull the ribbon off.  The three kids with the fastest times earn money.  The goats don't have to do anything!   Hailey and the goat (the lack of ears is a characteristic of the breed) definitely formed a relationship.  Joining with Kent Weakley's Project 52 and Sweet Shot Tuesday.

Jessie was the winner of the 5-7 year-old group

A rodeo princess was this goat's keeper.

And holding Hailey's goat was the rodeo queen! She made a friend, too.

Goat Tail Untying!!! This is almost worth the 6 or 7 hour drive it would take to get to Elgin from here.:) Love it.

Fun fun! I love the capture of the little girl in the first shot. Even though I can't see her face, I can see the goat looking at her with such tenderness. At least to me! I like to put human emotions on animals. :)
