A Foray into Black and White

By chance, I discovered an Irish blog entitled "This Weekend in Black and White," and decided to participate.  For the past few days, I've seen this black and white cat under the locust tree in my neighbor's small back yard.  The cat doesn't belong to him; we don't know who owns it, but it likes Dan's space.  The rough texture of the tree bark and that rusty iron wheel are are perfect background for  the contented cat.

Beautiful photo. I love your tag line "Rediscovering myself through photography"… I hadn't thought of it that way, but I think this is true for me too with each new interaction through the lens.
