Frosty Leaf Texture

For Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday this week, I've chosen a "frosted" maple leaf that seems to be screaming that Old Man Winter is on the way.

Beautiful! The "polar vortex" is heading our way so maybe I'll be getting some frosty shots soon!

Your photo today will be my winter inspiration! I take fewer pictures in the winter as I hate to brace the cold. But, as your photograph clearly shows, there is much beauty in winter. So this year, I'll bundle up and head outside . . . for views of nature in the frost. Thank you!

Evelyn your leaf with a soft dusting of frost is so beautiful! I've yet to get a good shot of anything frosted. Thank you for your lovely comments today...have a lovely "frosty" week. The cold will be here tomorrow, and visiting a long while.

This just makes me want to go somewhere when it is cold just to photograph something with frost. Just gorgeous.

Gosh! Your image is so beautiful! I love the frosted edges of the leaf and grass. We're covered in snow already - not a green patch to be seen.

I love the softness of your image, Evelyn, as well as your processing! Just beautiful! We haven't had a frost yet, but the temperatures have dropped considerably, so I'm expecting it tonight. I just heard we may get snow by Thursday, as well! Bundle up! :)

I see you're collaborating with the artist, Jack Frost--or is it the Snow Queen? Or Elsa? You do nice work together! Half the time, s/he just wants someone to notice the beauty in the cold.

The frosty maple leaf is so pretty and well-preserved. We are still waiting for our first frost. Should be here in the morning!
