Random Five Friday

The sun is shining and the temperature is supposed to get up to 70 or above today!  We'll get back to more normal temps in a few days, but this is glorious right now.  For Nancy's Random Five Friday:
1. I took my two oldest great-nieces to Joseph and Wallowa Lake for the day. These are the daughters of my niece who died last May on her 38th birthday. (Although there is snow on the highest mountains, the snow level is far below normal this year.)

2. Lauren and Isabelle had not been to the area for maybe a year, and it was a beautiful day to visit.

3. This is a Mac and Cheese Sammy, Isabelle's choice at a wonderful little bistro in Joseph.  The sandwich entrees are definitely meals. A young couple makes their own bread, salads, and dressings.

4, Niece Lauren is 20 years old and is one term away from graduating from Oregon State University with a business degree and magna cum laude honors.  She has completed the work in three years.

 5. One of the mountains bordering Wallowa Lake.  I'm sure it has a name, but I don't know what it is.

A nice outing in beautiful surroundings. An honors grad in three years - that's impressive.

Wonderful that they have a relationship with you after their mother's passing.

Beautiful images. The lake is gorgeous and I love the pic of the back of the girls against the lake. I bet they appreciated the outing. Mac and Cheese Sammy -- wow!!! :) Happy Weekend.

A very big congratulations to Lauren!!

These views are amazing, and let me say that I am VERY envious of your close to 70 degree temps. We got up to about 29 today, and that was WITH bright sunshine.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead, and a very Happy Easter.

What a beautiful day you had for this outing with your nieces. The mountains there are just gorgeous. That sandwich looked good. I'm so glad you had a nice time with your nieces.
