A Contrast in Fences in Brooklyn

My husband and I traveled from Oregon to New York to spend several days with our oldest son.  He's a chef in a Greenpoint,  Brooklyn restaurant, and he lives in another Brooklyn neighborhood.  Bushwick is a low-income neighborhood and it boggles my mind that dumpy apartments cost $1200 and more per month.  For today's Friday's Fences, I've chosen two images of contrasting fences in the Bushwick neighborhood.   One surrounds a parking lot; one protects pleasant apartments/condos several blocks away.

Yes, it's time for Rural Thursday.  I've chosen two standards in the rural landscape:  wooden posts and barbed wire.  

The View Beyond the Fence

It's time for Friday's Fences and Janis has posted the corner of a beautiful white picket fence.  My choice is a wooden fence that frames the first snow of the season in the Wallowa Mountains of NE Oregon.  Too early...but nothing we can do about it!
