"Goats" on the rails...

Antelope aren't native to our part of the country, but are found in the SE part of Oregon and neighboring Idaho.  Several years ago, the "goats" started trickling into NE Oregon--first in the wildlife refuge and then to the fertile Grande Ronde Valley.  They evidently don't winter here, but a nice herd has moved back just recently.  There were more than 25 in this herd, waiting on the railroad tracks next to the highway for a chance to cross into another field.  At 7:30 in the morning, however, the "commute" was in full swing, cars traveling both directions along a 20-mile route to various work places.  Amazingly, the antelope just stayed at the edge of the highway until traffic lessened.
