A backlighted chair, some objects and three perspectives...the assignment in Be Still_52.
I began with an old chippy chair and a rose on the back porch, but the light was wrong. I moved to the north-facing front porch, chose a dark chair and some blossoms from a Rose of Sharon shrub. All images have an added texture: kk_waterfront7.

Be Still_52 #8 - Backlighting
Backlighting--photographing a subject with the light behind it. I actually find myself doing this frequently, for a variety of reasons: capturing my great-niece's curly hair in a sun "halo," capturing some flowers in the narrow bedroom window "studio" that has limited time for good light, capturing an interesting shape of almost anything that shows up best with light behind it. This 8th week of Be Still_52 involves working with back light. (I am going to use ranunculus until they are beyond help...$40 a bunch, after all! The white mums were $5.)
