One of my nieces has had a greenhouse the past two years; I order purple and white petunias in hanging baskets. This year, she informed me that she hadn't been happy with the white variety, so she had changed to "silver" ones. They are pretty white with purple veins. The basket had grown pretty leggy, so I put it on the floor of the back porch. The flowers are thriving. I pulled up a chair and sat with my telephoto lens in early evening, capturing many pretty petunias.

nice bunch of blooms, for sure!
I have some very similar. They actually self seeded in one of my flower beds. Beautiful!

Very pretty!
These are really beautiful!
What a treat! Beautiful blossoms and a nice frame full of them. Silver seems like a pretty variety.
A pretty picture. I love the luminous delicacy of these beautiful flowers. Awesome!
I love this. Nicely done.
Gotta love a plant that blooms this profusely! Very pretty blooms, too!
Those are very pretty with the purple veins and I love the "leaded-glass" frame! :)
These are beautiful, Evelyn -- I love the clarity of the shot, and that it looks black and white when it's really not -- Thanks for stopping by my blog. Now that I'm a "lady of leisure," I'm going to devote time to the blogosphere again.
I love petunias too... Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #45!

great capture, great lighting ....
I'm going to be 'hunting' silver petunia's next summer!
Petunias are my old standby. When they get leggy, I pinch them off and here they come again!
Good golly, that's a lot of flowers! My petunias have been gone for over a month now. :( I miss them.
Gorgeous capture! Well done!
